From an ecological point of view, a habitat is a specific environment characterized by its abiotic conditions (nature of the bottom, hydrodynamics, temperature, salinity, etc.) and the different species which inhabit it.
The GHOST MED program focuses on coastal areas and more specifically on benthic habitats such as mud, sand, gravel or cobbles, rock, coralligenous, posidonia meadows and wrecks.
